How do I schedule my FAA medical exam?
You can schedule your appointment online through our Zocdoc booking portal or by calling our office directly. Be sure to complete your FAA MedXPress application beforehand.

What should I bring to my appointment?
Bring a government-issued ID, your FAA MedXPress confirmation number (from your completed online application), your glasses or contact lenses if needed, and a list of current medications.

How long does the FAA medical exam take?
Most exams take approximately 30–45 minutes. Additional time may be required if further documentation or testing is necessary.

Do you offer same-day or walk-in appointments?
Same-day appointments are sometimes available. Please call our office for availability. Walk-ins are not guaranteed and are discouraged without prior contact.

What happens if I have a medical condition?
Dr. Carter has extensive experience navigating special issuance cases. He will guide you through the FAA’s documentation and review process to help you maintain or regain your medical certification. Happy to have a consultation for further questions.

Can I get my FAA medical if I take medication?

Do you send the results directly to the FAA?
Yes, after your exam, Dr. Carter submits the results through the FAA’s internal system. If you pass, you’ll receive your certificate the same day.
